Opportunities open for 18 counties in North Carolina including Warren

Trillium Health Resources has published a request for information (RFI) on their website for school-based therapy services.

These clinicians will offer outpatient therapy for children experiencing mental health issues, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders in each designated school district. They will provide assessments, group and individual therapy, and family supports. Services will be provided to Medicaid members (in NC Medicaid Direct or the Trillium Tailored Plan launching July 1) in Trillium.

Interested agencies will have until June 30, 2024 to respond to the RFI. Agencies must be available to offer services in at least one of the following counties: Guilford, Randolph, Montgomery, Moore, Lee, Hoke, Richmond, Anson, Scotland, Robeson, Sampson, Duplin, Wayne, Lenoir, Greene, Wilson, Edgecombe, and Warren. Providers may apply to provide services in one or more of the counties listed above, but no other counties than those listed are covered with this RFI.

“Trillium recognizes the value of placing clinicians in schools—their proximity to the children allows for more immediate treatment and contact with teachers and families,” stated Joy Futrell, Trillium’s Chief Executive Officer. “Trillium has been listening to stakeholders in our new counties and understands the needs of the schools in our region to support this critical gap.”

School-based mental health services range from assistance provided by a school counselor to a comprehensive, integrated program of prevention, identification, and treatment on campus. Trillium’s focus with this RFI is to build a strong infrastructure to develop a more comprehensive approach within school settings.

Trillium welcomes participation in this important conversation to keep our communities and schools safe. Any organization interested in learning more can reach out to Trillium by calling 1-866-998-2597.
