Singer\/singwriter Skip Ewing is headed to the Acorn Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Skip Ewing has long been the quintessential troubadour, a thoughtful poet armed with a guitar and an arsenal of words and emotions he\u2019s channeled into some of country music\u2019s most memorable songs. Not content to rest on his laurels, Ewing continues to contribute to today\u2019s music landscape with such acclaimed collections as his 2020 album Wyoming, 2021\u2019s Christmas and his latest creative tour de force\u2014Road to California.<\/p>\n

The album offers an introspective look at Ewing\u2019s creative endeavors and maturity as a songwriter and artist through singles like \u201cKnots,\u201d \u201cWreck of My Heart\u201d and \u201cWindmill\u201d alongside lighthearted tunes like \u201cRoad Dog.\u201d No stranger to turning out hits, Ewing has had songs recorded by Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, George Strait, Keb Mo, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and numerous others. His No. 1 hits include Collin Raye\u2019s \u201cLove, Me,\u201d Diamond Rio\u2019s \u201cI Believe,\u201d Kenny Chesney\u2019s \u201cYou Had Me from Hello,\u201d Clint Black\u2019s \u201cSomething That We Do\u201d and Bryan White\u2019s \u201cRebecca Lynn,\u201d \u201cSomeone Else\u2019s Star,\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most recently, his song \u201cI Would If I Could\u201d (co-written with Dean Dillon) was featured on Apple Music\u2019s Lost & Found project with reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson recording a brand new version of the song. In high-demand, the tune was also recorded for ERNEST\u2019s brand new album this time as a duet between himself and Wilson. The revival of the song has earned high-praise from Music Row, American Songwriter and Holler to name a few. Most recently, Ewing\u2019s holiday-themed single, \u201cWhenever A Child Is Born,\u201d made its debut on country radio, alongside ERNEST\u2019s solo rendition of \u201cWould If I Could,\u201d further cementing Skip\u2019s lasting and multi-faceted impact on the genre. <\/p>\n
