We are kicking off our grand opening with a Veteran’s Memorial Service to honor all veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our Great Nation and dedication to Homestead Farm and Guardian’s Haven Project! The service and dedication will start at 11 a.m., and following the dedication we invite everyone to grab some lunch and enjoy the farm! A food truck will be on sight serving lunch and veterans will eat for free!

Join us for a farm tour hosted by VGCC, Warren County Economic Development and N.C. Cooperative Extension, Warren County Center. Space is limited so register early. Transportation is provided, and private vehicles will NOT be permitted due to parking limitations at the tour stops. The tour convenes at 158 Rafters Lane, Warrenton at 7:30 am, departing promptly at 8 am.

The Farm Stand building houses our crafts and essential oils collection including: Rooster gnomes, Buddy gnomes, Plant gnomes, and our custom names and numbered “Owl Tree Bikers”.
You will also find handcrafted items including jewelry and pottery collectibles.
We will have some information about upcoming workshops to share at our opening day event.

National Black Food Justice and Operation Spring Plant will sponsor a great event for those who want to understand food and herbs that grow right in the ecosystem. Most foods that have been indigenous to Warren County.

Presented by Maurice Smalls, he will share how to cultivate and find natural herbs within forestry spaces, and create farm systems by knowledge of what foods to eat within the forest ecosystem.

Stop by Soul City Farm on April 20th to gain insight on healthy foods that can be grown and cultivated within the forest.
