The Warrenist Presents… The Visionary Brunch

THE VISIONARY BRUNCH celebrates and empowers local women entrepreneurs to share their successes, their failures, and everything in between.

Attendees will be treated to a brunch catered by Sweet Delights Cookies, encouraged to network with other like-minded visionaries and hear stories from business owners who are making things happen in our community!

Kristen Baughman Taber (Tabletop Media Group)
Kristen Taber Tabletop Media groupKristen Baughman is the founder of Tabletop Media Group. Native to the Carolinas, she received a degree in Extension Education with a focus in Nutrition from North Carolina State University. She also received a Master of Science degree in Extension Education with a focus in Agricultural Leadership.

Working for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services coordinating events for the Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council and serving as a Food Safety Outreach Coordinator led her to become even more passionate about the food industry. During her time at the NCDA&CS she created a popular 43 Day Local Food Challenge Blog, which led to a food blogging opportunity with the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.

Her varied career after university led to a social media marketing and public relations opportunity with the Got To Be NC Competition Dining Series. This new role spurred a career shift to focus on media as it relates to the hospitality, food, agriculture and beverage industries. 

She later started a popular food blog and consulting company, Gadabout Food. After working in Raleigh, North Carolina for three years, she spent two years in New York City consulting for Shutterstock, Taste Talks, Northside Festival, Swig and other clients. Kristen decided to return to Raleigh, North Carolina in July 2016 to launch Tabletop Media Group.

Adventurous and passionate, Kristen has traveled more than 30 countries to explore the different cultures and food options around the world. In her free time, you can find her relaxing outside with her dogs Cheerwine and Doc or at one of the many Triangle breweries sipping on a North Carolina beer. She currently has settled in Warrenton, North Carolina with her husband Zayne. Facebook

 

LaTonya Andrews-Hunter (Soul City Farm & Event Center)
LaTonya Andrews-Hunter is the fourth-generation farmer/owner of Soul City Farm and Event Center located on 60 acres in Norlina, N.C. LaTonya, a United States Air Force veteran, took on the mission to purchase and operate her family farm in 2017. During this time, she was led to her passion for land management and tackling the issues of food insecurity and equity in farming.

LaTonya and her husband Demetrius, owner of Black Farmers Hub (Raleigh), support a 75-member farm to faith Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) effort providing shares of seasonal vegetables to a coalition of faith-based organizations and churches. Black Farmers Hub is a storefront location that showcases produce and products of black and brown entrepreneurs and farmers, offering healthy food options within a community that is a food desert, helping to close the grocery gap.

Erica Richardson (Marathon Logistics, LLC)
Erica RichardsonBorn and raised in Macon, Erica Richardson graduated from WCHS in 2003 and is currently pursuing her Associate’s Degree in Accounting at Nash Community College. She’s married to Quinn Richardson and the proud mother of 5. She is the owner of Marathon Logistics LLC. | Facebook
