Person’s Ordinary Museum Fall Open House
Experience our area’s rich history by visiting Person’s Ordinary Museum, believed to be the oldest landmark in the Halifax County town of Littleton, on its original site.
The Littleton Woman’s Club invites you to tour this Pre-Revolutionary historic inn and tavern, dating to 1739 on Sunday, Sept 25 from 2-4 PM.
Person’s Ordinary Museum, owned by Thomas Person, a prominent Anti-Federalist leader, became the hub of activity for the area, including the first mail service as the first postmaster. His adopted son, William Person Little inherited his manor, which eventually took the name “Little Manor”. The town of Littleton, in turn, took its name from “Little Manor.”
Hosted by the Littleton Woman’s Club.
