Lies: A Juneteenth Revival π
Thomas Park will perform in an evening that can be described as 1/2 a one-man show and 1/2 a short dramatic reading of his play, “We Gone.”
The play portrays the events that occur on a small slave holding plantation, if one could call it that, when the captives receive important news.
He will also share a few new poems prepared for this event, and perform three monologues including his friends “Frederick Douglass,” “The Queer Sufi: Abdul Dolla” and one more interesting guest from our past.
There will also be a Special Musical guest: Mr. Frazier Williams.
He appreciates your support.
This event is FREE and made possible by a Grant from the Warren County Arts Council and the North Carolina Arts Council.
