The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey

In a small Jersey Shore town unravels the story of Leonard Pelkey, a tenaciously optimistic and flamboyant 14 year old boy who goes missing. Leonard becomes an unexpected inspiration as the town’s citizens question how they live, who they love, and what they leave behind. an intimate and affectionate evening filled with laughs, loss, and maybe a tear or two–but ultimately, the night is filled with joy.

John DuVall, artistic director at Lakeland, is an award-winning actor from Toledo, OH. He has been in over 50 plays, commercials, and films–but performing live is his passion. The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey is truly an actor’s showcase, as he portrays 9 different characters in this one-man show.
