Learn about the art of bonsai and take home your own bonsai tree. We’ll be talking about the art and horticulture of developing little trees in pots.
You’ll receive one of the best trees suited for bonsai, a Chinese Elm. The Chinese Elm is great for beginners and experts alike. They are easy to maintain, rewarding to grow, and fun to show off to friends in any season.
We’ll go through each tree and make the necessary cuts and bends to create a wonderful and sustainable bonsai. By the end of the class, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to develop your tree over the years to come.
There are eight spaces and trees available for this workshop. The price is $100 per person including instruction, a tree, and inspiration.
I take bonsai very seriously, but I couldn’t care that much if it wasn’t so much fun. Currently, I am the vice president of the Triangle Bonsai Society where I handle teaching the TBS Beginner Seasonal Series classes, organize programing with national and internationally recognized artists, marketing, and helping with workshops. TBS currently has 169 members and is one of the most influential bonsai clubs in the US.
I’ve started a business this year called Trees Speak Easy. Hopefully one day, I’ll have a cocktail bar and bonsai garden. It’s important to have something to work towards.
To sign up and pay for this workshop, click this link through PayPal, https://py.pl/1C6DKO . You don’t need a PayPal account as you can use your credit or debit card. There are only eight trees/spaces available. If you’ve ever been curious about bonsai, a workshop is the best way to learn.
I look forward to building bonsai with you.
