SUMMARY:AUDITIONS: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
DESCRIPTION:Auditions for: “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”\nWritten by Barbara Robinson\nPresented by Lakeland Cultural Arts Center\nDirected by Wally Hurst\nSunday, September 24 – 2pm\nMonday, September 25 – 6pm\nLakeland Cultural Arts Center\n411 Mosby Avenue,\nLittleton, N.C, 27850\nIn the Actor’s Studio\nBased on the best-selling book, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever follows the outrageous shenanigans of the Herdman siblings, or “the worst kids in the history of the world.” So no one is prepared when this outlaw family invades church one Sunday and decides to take over the annual Christmas pageant. which causes a lot of people to be up in arms. The end result, however, is one of the most unusual pageants anyone has seen and, just possibly, the best – as everyone discovers the true meaning of Christmas.\nAuditions will be a cold read from the script. LCAC practices ‘blind casting’ – (casting without consideration of ethnicity or race), as well as welcoming performers of all skill/experience levels. There are roles for boys and girls, ages 8-13; men, mid 20’s to late 40’s; and women, mid-30’s to mid-60’s. Additional baby angels, choir members, and shepherds are also needed; this is a great way for whole families to volunteer to work on the\nshow as kid wranglers, sound/light tech operators, set builders, backstage crew, or production assistants.
